Asbestos In Chidren's Toys Warning And Recalls
Not for the first time, toys imported from the US have been found to contan asbestos! This time the alert comes, not from UK Government but that of Australia. This despite the items being on sale in both the UK and Europe.
Don’t buy sand-related kid's gifts this Christmas. A number of branded items have been recalled as lab tests show they contain asbestos.
This is in the news in Australia but not here yet, though the products are sold in Britain and Europe.

With countries like the USA where asbestos is legally allowed in products including kids toy's, and Trump demanding that asbestos be allowed to be used across the world, it is even more of an imperative to check the ingredients in food and the substances in cosmetics and kids toys!
In this case, K-Mart in Australia sold these items and then issued a recall after asbestos was reportedly found in ht eproducts pictured above.
Despite asbestos being strictly banned in Australia, these products had to be tested before finding the problems and with the items having been already sold in the lead up to Christmas.
Yet, in the UK, there has been no such public notification with regard to those products sold in the UK.
